Vor zwölf Jahren ermittelte der vorlaute Shinichi alias Conan das letzte Mal in der japanischen Zeichentrickserie Detektiv Conan im deutschen Fernsehen. Hierzulande stoppte die TV-Ausstrahlung bereits 2006, doch im Heimatland werden immer noch munter neue Folgen produziert und diese schwappen jetzt von Japan zu uns rüber. Ab heute zeigt ProSieben Maxx nämlich die restliche Serie – und löst zugleich einen Cliffhanger auf.

Am 3. Juli 2006 zeigte RTL II die 333. und bis dato letzte Folge des Zeichentrick-Krimis Detektiv Conan im deutschen Fernsehen. Es handelte sich aber dabei bloß bei uns um das Serienende: Im japanischen Raum wurde die Produktion nie eingestellt, tatsächlich wurden bis zum jetztigen Zeitpunkt mehr als sage und schreibe 900 Episoden und 22 Spiefilme veröffentlicht.

Im Unterschied zu der Serie hat der Großteil der Filmspecials den Sprung nach Deutschland geschafft, was bei hiesigen Zuschauern wohl einiges an Verwirrung verursachte. Denn die Zeichentrick-Streifen spielen parallel zur Anime-Handlung, wer die Folgen nach Der stumm zurückgelassene Beweis (2) also nicht kennt, wird ihnen wahrscheinlich nicht folgen können und auf das Übelste gespoilert.
Besonders ärgerlich: Jene Schnapszahl-Folge endete mit einem Cliffhanger - sie gehört eigentlich zu einem Fall, der in mehrere Teile aufgeteilt wurde. Die Fans mussten daher nicht nur das vorzeitige TV-Ableben der Serie verkraften, sondern wurden zudem komplett im Dunklen darüber gelassen, wie die Ermittlung im Detektiv Conan-Universum zu Ende geht. Dies holt ProSieben Maxx nun nach und zeigt heute Abend den kompletten Kriminalfall rund um Conan und seinen Freunden (via Moviepilot). Ferner wird der Münchner Sender die Ausstrahlung neu aufnehmen und die in Japan bereits erschienenen Episoden zeigen.
Wer sich nicht mehr lückenlos an den letzten Fall aus dem Jahr 2006 erinnern kann und fürchtet der Story nicht folgen zu können, kann an dieser Stelle unbesorgt sein: ProSieben Maxx zeigt neben den TV-Premieren auch die ersten beiden Folge des Mehrteilers Der stumm zurückgelassene Beweis. Insgesamt bilden daher fünf Episoden den Auftakt des Anime-Comebacks. Dem Sender ist es wichtig, eine nahtlose Überleitung von 2006 nach 2018 zu gewährleisten. Aus diesem Grund sind die altbekannten Synchronstimmen der Sprecherinnen und Sprecher Tobias Keller (Conan/Shinichi), Giulina (Ran), Jörg Hengstler (Kogoro), Klaus-Dieter Klebsch (Inspektor Megure) sowie Andrea Loewig (Ai Haibara) zu hören.

Ab nächster Woche, also ab dem 22. Oktober 2018, sendet ProSieben Maxx Montag bis Freitag um 18:20 Uhr eine neue Detektiv Conan-Episode. Der Sender stellt jede Folge nach der Ausstrahlung für zehn Tage online in der Mediathek bereit.The remainder of March has been added to the anime schedule. As previously reported, a remaster of episode 80, “The Wandering Artist Murder Case, ” will air on the 2nd. The following two weeks will be covered by an anime original titled “The Thoroughbred Kidnapping Case.”
The 23rd of March was for some reason expected by many long-time fans to be the first part of the adaptation of the next case from the manga. I honestly can’t imagine why anyone would think that under the present circumstances. Anyway, a single-part anime original will instead air on that date, episode 935, titled “A Fortune Teller and Three Guests.” And if you can’t guess what the basic premise of that one will be from that title, welcome to your first Conan story.
The anime is planning to re-air episodes 746 and 747 on the 30th of March and 6th of April. These episodes are a two-part series titled “Kaitou Kid vs Kyougoku Makoto, ” which is based on manga chapters 862-864. These episodes are being broadcast to hype up the 23rd movie, which will have its theatrical premiere on the 12th of April in Japan.

If it were following the pattern from previous years, an anime original intended to advertise the movie would air on April 6th. However, this year they are instead going to air past episodes that are highly relevant to the premise of the film. Personally, I would be happy if they chose to continue doing it this way from here on out. Those so-called “tie-in” episodes were always a waste of time that had no relationship with the movies, whether in story or tone.
The rest of the anime schedule for April has been filled in. We can look forward to an AO followed by a two-part AO. Unfortunately, there are still no manga-based episodes in the foreseeable future.
First on the chopping block is episode 936. It is a single-episode case titled “The Food Court Conspiracy” and will air on the 13th. Following that is a two-parter encompassing episodes 937 and 938. It will be titled “The Giant Talos’s Certain Kill Punch” and will run across the 20th and the 27th.

Episode 939 has been scheduled for broadcast on May 4th. It will be yet another Anime Original titled “The Dangerous Fossil Collection.”
